The OPSEU/SEFPO Rainbow Alliance Arc-en-Ciel extends its solidarity to activists and union leaders currently facing coordinated, targeted attacks for their solidarity with Palestine.
As trade unionists, each of us should be greatly concerned to see such coordinated campaigns to smear activists who refuse silence and complicity. Silence has never protected us – silence is an accomplice to injustice.
We see these attacks as clear attempts to silence and undermine solidarity, diverting public attention from the genocide unfolding in Gaza. They are failed attempts to distract from the 180,000 Palestinian lives lost in the last year alone.
We stand with you in defiance of bad-faith actors eager to skew the story and divert attention from an ongoing genocide and immense human suffering. Your work shines a light in the darkness, and your resilience is a beacon of hope for those who have been silenced for exercising the same solidarity.
The path you walk is not an easy one, but you are not alone. We are here, standing shoulder to shoulder with you, committed to amplifying your voices, sharing the truth, and demanding justice. Together, we will continue to fight for a world where every life is valued, every voice is heard, and every community is safe from violence and oppression.
